Time to Collaborate!
I have facilitated several design workshops from design sprints to experience mapping and persona creation in order to solve complex problems with a user-centric approach. I have conducted both in-person and online workshops for a group of 5-10 participants. Below are samples from a few that I led.
Design Sprints
From ideas to insights in a week! Sounds great for when you have a big problem to solve, an unvalidated idea or are simply stuck on a project and needs insights to decide on the right solution. That’s where Design Sprints come into play. I have extensively used this framework to help product teams come up with industry leading product ideas and solutions within a week. This has helped us minimize technical debt by validating the ideas before development and release.
Persona Creation
On any given project, I like to start by building empathy for our end users by conducting preliminary user research and creating personas that help inform and establish a user-centric approach throughout the design process. This not only helps align cross-functional team members but also gives us an opportunity to uncover real-world user needs that typically don’t surface up in a technical/functional requirements gathering process.
Experience Mapping
Understanding users’ journeys with our digital products and mapping out their experience during the various phases of the lifecycle uncovers potential opportunities to solve problems that elevate our overall product experience. I have used this methodology frequently to help identify users’ pain-points and prioritize features that matter the most.
